The Yellow Rose of Texas is distilled at Bardstown by Heaven Hill for the Japanese Market.

Back in 1935 following the repeal of Prohibition several years earlier,  a group of private investors established Heaven Hill. Amongst the members were founders including distiller, Joseph L. Beam and a member of the Shapira family. The Shapiras eventually became the sole owners as the company grew and Heaven Hill continues to be run by the Shapiras descendants to this day. Similarly, despite the Shapiras takeover, Joseph Beam (Jim Beams cousin) maintained his master distiller role and the Beams have continued to occupy this role ever since. Today the master distiller role is in the safe hands of Parker Beam, supported closely by his son Craig Beam.
